Leonie Summers

Leonie is an art historian who has worked in the art world for over thirty years. After working at The Museum of Modern Art, New York, she returned to London to work in galleries, curating exhibitions and writing publications. She worked for The Public Monuments and Sculpture Association for almost ten years, co-founded and ran their online magazine 3rd Dimension and initiated the Mentoring and Education schemes. She helped organise many conferences and talks, and also ran their social media. Leonie specialises in emerging artists and is Co-Director of PSSA sculpture residency. Leonie is a trustee of the PSSA.

Amber Xavier-Rowe (Chair PSSA Marsh Conservation Award)

Amber is Head of Collections Conservation, English Heritage Trust. She has over 30 years’ experience working in collections conservation. After completing a Bachelor of Applied Science in Conservation of Cultural Materials from Canberra University, she first worked at Artlab Australia undertaking practical objects conservation, before moving to the UK and English Heritage Trust. Amber is responsible for the care and conservation of over one million objects, outdoor sculpture and artillery, located in 131 sites across England. She is a preventive conservation expert and has published widely on strategic preventive conservation for dispersed heritage collections, insect pest management and most recently the construction of sustainable stores. Amber is an ICON accredited conservator restorer and a fellow of the Institute of Conservation.
