Ralph Scott Cockrill (1879–1956)

Architect. He was articled to his father, John William Cockrill (1849–1924), the Borough Surveyor of Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, 1896–99, staying on as his assistant until 1902, the year in which he became an Associate of the Royal Institute of British Architects. His designs for the Hippodrome (1903), Fastolff House (1908) and various residences in and around Great Yarmouth established him as the most significant and original Arts and Crafts designer in Norfolk.
