Paul Grime (b. 1956)

Multi-media artist producing murals, mosaic and metalwork from his studio near Kelso, Scottish Borders. Born in Stockport, Cheshire, he studied painting at Edinburgh College of Art, winning an Andrew Grant Travelling Scholarship in 1977. He has been a member of various community art collectives, such as Street Artworks, the Edinburgh Theatre Workshop and the Craigmillar Festival Society, and was instrumental in the establishment of both the public art programme in Dundee, and the ‘People and Places’ project in Leith. He has also collaborated with Tim Chalk in the partnership Chalk and Grime.
